Soleil d'hiver

A Concert at DUC by the Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau

January 26, 2018, 7:30pm - Saint-Jean-Baptiste church (96, avenue Empress, Ottawa)

In partnership with the Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau, Dominican University College will host an orchestral concert on January 26th at 7:30pm at Saint-Jean-Baptiste church in Ottawa. The concert, called Soleil d’hiver, will celebrate the 50th anniversary of the awarding of the official civil university charter to DUC by the Government of Ontario. The concert will also provide the occasion to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Conservatoire de musique et d’art dramatique du Québec, and the 50th anniversary of the Conservatoire de musique de Gatineau.

Join us to celebrate the young, local, and talented musicians of the Ottawa-Gatineau region. The program will consist of the 1st movement on Grieg’s Concerto in minor, interpreted by Kevin Chen, a young pianist, who won the “Concours de concerto” 2017. Works of Bach, Vivaldi, Holst, Mozart, and Strauss will also be on the program for the evening.

The event will be hosted in both English and French.
